Our Privacy Notice tells you what we do with your personal data, why we use it, who we share it with and how long we keep it. As it’s your data you have the right to know what happens with it. The types of data that we hold about you and how long we keep it, will depend on your relationship with us and the reasons why we have it.

Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

How do we get information?

When you use our services our view content provided by us, we automatically collect information about your computer hardware and software. This information can include your IP address, browser type, domain names, internet service provider (ISP), the files viewed on our site (e.g., HTML pages, graphics, etc.), operating system, clickstream data, access times and referring website addresses. This information is used by Vicki Barton Dramatherapist to provide general statistics regarding use of the Vicki Barton Dramatherapy Website. This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns and is not used to identify any individual.
The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area ("EEA").
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorised access.

The new General Data Protection Regulations, GDPR, came into effect on the 25th May 2018. All sensitive data is required by law to be kept safely. Please read the following as you will be asked to agree to this if your child sees Vicki Barton Dramatherapist. If there is anything that you do not agree with, please speak to Vicki Barton at the Orchard Centre, 12 Lemon street, Truro, TR1 2lS. This does not affect your child’s therapy. You can withdraw this consent at any time.
The therapist has to abide by the Confidential laws set out by HCPC . This also means the therapist is unable to alert the child’s parents or doctor if they speak to the therapist about contraception or having sexual relations if they are between the age of 13-16 years of age "provided the therapist is satisfied in the following criteria:

We never sell Personal Information to any third party
We use data processors who are third parties who provide elements of services for us. We have contracts in place with our data processors. This means that they cannot do anything with your personal information unless we have instructed them to do it. They will not share your personal information with any organisation apart from us. They will hold it securely and retain it for the period we instruct. For example we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns.
We may send information to you regarding changes to our Customer Terms of Service, Privacy Policy (including the Cookie Policy), other legal agreements OR to meet legal requirements.
The data privacy law allows this as part of our legitimate interest in understanding our customers and providing the highest levels of service.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your Personal Information, we securely delete the information or anonymise it or, if this is not possible, then we will securely store your Personal Information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible. We will delete this information from the servers at an earlier date if you so request, as described in "To Unsubscribe from Our Communications" below.

Any changes we may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail. We regularly review and, where necessary, update our privacy information.
If we plan to use personal data for a new purpose, we update our privacy information and communicate the changes to individuals before starting any new processing.
